Local 696 and the NFSA are asking for your vital help in reaching out to your Congressperson and State Senator today and ask that they co-sponsor two pieces of IMPORTANT PIECES OF LEGISLATION that will SAVE LIVES of civilians and firefighters. The death toll from fires continues to grow, by the end of this month it is estimated that over 300 people will die from fire! The current numbers include 17% of victims being under 14 years old, almost 20% are over 65 and in some fires, entire families have died!
